Earners of this designation have demonstrated the ability to focus on managing quality projects utilizing the fundamentals of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Lean topics include the concepts of the elimination of waste and reduction of cycle time in organizational processes. Six Sigma principles consist of problem solving techniques, data collection and analysis, reduction of process variation, process capability and cost analysis. Earners are also able to use the DMAIC process.

• Students are required to select and work on a real problem while applying learned techniques and tools to effectively resolve the problem and meet specified project goals. Students also learn how to utilize statistical software.
